Highlights of the 2013 Rhythm & Blues Fest!
The Rhythm & Blues Fest (formerly the Greater Philadelphia Blues Fest Block Party) has been one of the funkiest community events of Philadelphia since its creation in 1997. The Rhythm & Blues Fest is a unique opportunity for the community to come together to enjoy great music, food, and family-friendly activities. Most importantly, this event allows us the opportunity to spread awareness of neighborhood concerns, programs/projects, public services and community resources. Each year we invite local organizations, vendors, and community leaders to participate.
The 2011 Annual Rhythm & Blues Fest brought back the same fun and entertainment as past in past years plus more! For the first time ever we included a Car Show! This year’s live performances included: Hezekiah, Julie Dexter, N’Dambi, and Lady Alma! With more than 40 community and retail vendors, a talented group of performers and a great crowd that was excited to be there!
Our Kid Zone offered games and activities, a Moonbounce, and the Philadelphia Zoo. Health & Wellness organizations, Non-Profits, Financial Institutions, and Food Truck and Retail Vendors were also present.
If you missed it in 2011, you do not want to miss it again!

Looking back at the 2010 Blues Fest
On September 18th, 2010, the sun was shining, the music was bumping, and all the visitors of The Partnership CDC’s 2010 Rhythm & Blues Fest were having a great time! We planned this event to celebrate our community and all of the gains we made this year. Luckily, we had a lot to celebrate! From The Partnership CDC’s new initiatives such as The Green Professionals Program and Healthy Homes to old favorites such as the Financial Fitness Workshops and First–Time Homebuyer Classes, we have done our best to serve you! The Rhythm & Blues Fest was a great event, with performances such as: Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble, The Nate Murray Band and Denise King. Up and coming local talent like R&B Artist Izreal, West Powelton Steppers Drill team and rappers Daddy Suga and Lihtz Kamra will light up the stage. Our headliner, Kindred the Family Soul, ended the festival by performing some of their greatest hits and new music too – check it out
See you next year at the 2012 Rhythm & Blues Fest!
